These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Buddy mobile application and related services (the “Service”) provided by Appster Norge AS (“Appster”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using Buddy, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You create and sign in to a Buddy account with Sign in with Apple.
1. Business identity
The Service is provided by Appster Norge AS, organization number 822.608.132, based in Trondheim, Norway. Brand / product name: Buddy, dating for dog ppl. Official website: www.appsternorge.no.
2. Eligibility (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Buddy account or use the Service. By using Buddy, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. Account registration
To use certain features you must register an account with Sign in with Apple and provide accurate profile information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to the Apple ID you use with Buddy secure. You can stop using Sign in with Apple for Buddy in your Apple ID settings, and you can delete your Buddy account in the app or by contacting us.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post illegal, fraudulent, or infringing content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service
- Use automated means to scrape or spam the Service
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as photos and messages). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate Buddy. You are responsible for the content you share.
6. Location
Matching uses a location you save. You can set it once, or turn on Update while I use Buddy so it refreshes when you open the app. Walks start from that saved location. On the walk screen, or on Find with a walk partner, you can tap Where I am once or turn on live location so it keeps updating while you are available, even if your phone is locked or Buddy is in the background. That walk position does not change the location saved on your profile. It stops being used when you end availability or log out, and live updates also stop when you turn live location off. After you match, you and your walk partner can open a map that shows the walk position each of you chooses to share. That map does not show or change the location saved on your profile. Do not use location features to harass, stalk, or mislead other people about where you are. Details of what we collect are in the Privacy Policy.
7. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that matches, walks, deals, or messages will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Appster Norge AS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Buddy and delete your account at any time in the app settings (where available) or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Norway have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.
